Programs and Events 2023-2024
The South Shore Area Branch is in its 55th year as part of the American Association of University Women. AAUW members believe in the power of education to change women’s lives. We also recognize that women’s education means not only attaining higher degrees. It also means becoming financially literate, daring to take risks to grow and learn throughout our lives, and to help others both around us and far away from us to reach their potential. Our programs focus on our mission to advance equity for women and girls through advocacy, education, philanthropy, and research. We hope you will join us at one of our events. No matter how busy your daily routine is, we think you’ll get something out of our events. You’ll meet like-minded women from the South Shore. We’ll hear from fascinating speakers on thought-provoking topics.
Our branch programs are currently conducted on the second Tuesday of the month. Programs are held in public access locations and some of are offered on Zoom. All programs are open to the public.
For more information about our meeting topics and speakers, please contact Branch CoPresidents Lynn Howard or Gail Saccone. Expand your horizons and potential. Come to our monthly meetings, bring a neighbor, friend or colleague! Remember, AAUW advances equity for all women and girls through advocacy, education, philanthropy, and research — because equity is still an issue. We look forward to seeing you!
